A biologically active composition for hand and body skin care, predominantly in the form of the liquid soap possessing antibacterial activity is based on the birch tar and excipients, namely glycerol used as softening agent, sodium chloride used as a preserving agent, citric acid used for adjusting pH, and distilled water used as a solvent. The highly purified birch tar is used. As the excipients, the substances selected among lauryl sulfate ethoxylated, PEG-4 amide of rapeseed oil, disodium lauret-3 sulfosuccinate, diethanolamide of fatty acids from the coconut oil, cocamidopropylene betaine, sodium cocoamphocetate, lauryl glycoside.
