<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the insulation performance of a vacuum insulation material and a refrigerator with the vacuum insulation material mounted therein by reducing thermal conductivity related to an outer packaging material among materials constituting the vacuum insulation material. <P>SOLUTION: A vacuum insulation material includes: a core material comprised of a fiber material laminate or communicating urethane; an outer packaging material 34 which is comprised of a plurality of resin films and covers the core material while forming a metal deposited layer or an inorganic deposited layer in at least one resin film 34b, 34c of the plurality of resin films; and an adsorption material which is arranged inside the outer packaging material 34. A resin film 34d of an inner-most layer in the outer packaging material forms welding layers which are welded to each other while being confronted with the core material interposed therebetween, the resin film 34d of the welding layer has a laminated structure comprised of a plurality of layers 341, 342, 343, and thermal conductivity reduction materials are kneaded in one layer 342 among the plurality of layers.
