<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encoder which can reduce memory accesses in multistream encoding operation. <P>SOLUTION: The encoder, if the image to be encoded, or the target image, is a NonBaseView image, acquires a spatial change amount about an already encoded second kind of other image having a prescribed order relationship with the image as a spatial change amount about the target image. Next, it acquires a temporal change amount about a BaseView image corresponding to the target image as a temporal change amount for the target image. Then, according to the spatial change amount and the temporal change amount, it determines one or more reference images to be referenced at the time of encoding of the target image, and encodes the target image by using the determined one or more reference images. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
