<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coordinate detection device capable of suppressing a time needed for coordinates specification with high resolution and with low power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The coordinate detection device includes first electrodes (X1 to X3), second electrodes (Y1 to Y4), a capacitance detection circuit (12), a switch for first electrodes, and a switch for second electrodes, detects first coordinates being the position of a detection object in a first direction by connecting all of the plurality of second electrodes to a power source by the switch for second electrodes and selectively connecting one of the plurality of first electrodes to the capacitance detection circuit by the switch for first electrodes, detects second coordinates being the position of a detection object in a second direction by connecting all of the plurality of first electrodes to the power source by the switch for first electrodes and selectively connecting one of the plurality of second electrodes to the capacitance detection circuit by the switch for second electrodes, and specifies the position of the detection object by measuring capacitance of a first electrode and a second electrode corresponding to a set of the detected first coordinates and second coordinates when a plurality of first coordinates and second coordinates are detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
