<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the high rate PSOC cycle life effectively while allowing decrease in the discharge capacity of a lead battery only slightly. <P>SOLUTION: The negative electrode material of a lead battery comprises: a surface layer containing 1.5-10 mass% of carbon black having an average particle size of 10-50 nm the main component of which is spongy lead; and an inner layer containing 1.0 mass% or less of carbon black the main component of which is spongy lead. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
