<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration control device maintaining a vibration control performance of a friction damper without limiting a direction in which the performance is exhibited. <P>SOLUTION: A vibration control device 100 includes: a first plate 110; a second plate 112, at least a part of which faces the first plate 110; a friction member 114; and viscoelastic bodies 121 to 124. The friction member 114 is a columnar member located in a portion in which the first plate 110 and the second plate 112 face each other, sandwiched between the first plate 110 and the second plate 112, and being in surface contact with the first plate 110 and the second plate 112.
