<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll sheet carrying device applying tensile force to a sheet and capable of carrying the roll sheet by more accurate carrying amount, and a roll sheet carrying method. <P>SOLUTION: The roll sheet carrying device predicts a rotating load during one carrying operation. On the basis of a value obtained by integrating the predicted rotating load during one carrying operation by the carrying amount of the sheet, the roll sheet carrying device predicts a shift amount of the carrying amount of the sheet during one carrying operation.
