A method for shaping the lacrimal triangle provides for the following reference points: The medial palpebral commissure and the lacrimal points of the eyelids are taken as the apex of the internal contour of the triangle (ABC). The internal edges of the eyelids and the conventional line connecting superior and inferior lacrimal points are taken as the sides of the internal contour of the triangle. The projection of the points of connection between the lacrimal ducts and the lacrimal sac and the external edge of the lacrimal tubercles are taken as the apex of the external contour. The external edges of the eyelids and the conventional line connecting superior and inferior lacrimal tubercles are taken as the sides of the external contour of the triangle (ABC). The topographic anatomical area is shaped comprising anatomically the lacrimal tubercles, the lacrimal points, the lacrimal ducts, the lacrimal caruncle, the lacrimal lake and the semilunar fold. |
