METHOD FOR ULTRASONIC ELECTROMAGNETIC-ACOUSTIC CONTROL OF SURFACES OF METAL PRODUCTS WITH STRAIGHT SECTIONS OF EDGES

摘要

A method for ultrasonic electromagnetic-acoustic control of surfaces of metal products with straight sections of end edges includes excitation of surface waves with bi-directional beams to two opposite sides, reception of reflected pulses of surface waves from the defects or elements of the product, analysis of received pulses and making decision on quality of the product by results of analysis. The excitation of the pulses of surface waves with combined electromagnetic-acoustic transducer is carried out at distance l from straight section of the edge of the product.
