<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating device and a heating method whereby the entire region to be heated which is continuously set in one direction on a workpiece can be readily and substantially uniformly heated to a predetermined high temperature even when the workpiece is large. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus performs induction heating of a workpiece W which has a different deformation amount between one side edge and another side edge of the region to be heated H when the region to be heated H is set on the workpiece so as to extend in one direction and heating region is subjected to induction heating. The apparatus includes: a heating coil 451 which is opposed to a part of the entire length along one direction of the region to be heated H; and a relative movement means 112 for moving the workpiece W and the heating coil 451 in a relative manner along one direction, wherein the surface of the heating coil 451 opposed to the region to be heated H is disposed so as to face to the region to be heated H during heating. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
