<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a column-beam joint structure capable of imparting fire resistance to a joint between a wooden column and a wooden beam having fire resistance, and a column-beam joining method for constructing the column-beam joint structure. <P>SOLUTION: A connection plate 18 for joining a beam 14 to a column 12 by connecting a column core material 20 and a beam core material 32 together is surrounded by a second burning stop layer 34 so that a rise in the temperature of the connection plate 18 in the case of fire and after fire extinguishment can be suppressed.
