<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a block-enabled piston-cylinder unit that improves stability and further can be manufactured at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: The piston-cylinder unit 1 includes: a cylinder 2 filled with a pressurized fluid; a tubular piston rod 7; and an operation rod 16 which is disposed within the piston rod to be displaced. Inside an housing chamber 21 provided in the piston 10, a cam sleeve 28 including a cam 37 and a switching ring 29 including sawtooth-shaped projections 30 are disposed. A free end of a valve slider 17 at a side opposed to a side of the operation rod 16 is rushed into the housing chamber 21, and at least one cam 36 provided in the free end of the valve slider 17 cooperates with the cam 37 of the cam sleeve 28 and the projections 30 of the switching ring 29 in order to block or release the piston 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
