<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for a vehicle capable of accurately superimposing an enhanced image on the image of a detection target while maintaining a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: A display device 100 for a vehicle detects a pedestrian image 70 from frontal images 50 sequentially created by a near-IR camera 10 that photographs the frontal region 90 of the vehicle, and sequentially displays images by superimposing the frontal region 90 on the frontal images 50. The display device 100 for a vehicle sequentially acquires frontal images 50 by an image acquiring unit 21 from the near-IR camera 10, and extracts positional information and size information of the pedestrian image 70 from the frontal images 50 by a pedestrian detecting unit 23. According as the traveling speed of the vehicle acquired by a speed information acquiring unit 25 is increased, the size of an enhanced image 60 is enlarged with respect to a reference size corresponding to the size information.
