<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveying device capable of making various sheets to be conveyed appropriately sucked to a platen. <P>SOLUTION: The sheet conveying device includes the platen 14 having a plurality of suction holes 24 on a sheet conveyance surface, a duct 26 communicated with the plurality of the suction holes, a fan 25 depressurizing the inside of the duct and generating sucking power for making the sheets sucked to the plurality of the suction holes, and a suction hole selecting member 27 for selecting the suction hole for generating the sucking power by selectively opening/closing the plurality of the suction holes. The suction hole selecting member 27 is arranged movably relative to the platen on the back side opposite to the sheet conveyance surface of the platen 14, and it includes a blocking surface 30 capable of blocking at least a part of the plurality of the suction holes, and a plurality of suction selecting holes 31 formed on the blocking surface and moving to the corresponding suction holes out of the plurality of the suction holes for making the inside of the duct and the corresponding suction holes communicated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
