<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for branch-trimming, pruning, fruit-bearing and fruit-thinning chestnut including: planting a seedling on organic soil; growing a plurality of branches while sufficiently exposing the seedling to sunlight; and forming latent buds (burls) at the base of each of the branches while vigorously growing a main trunk to bear high-quality large-size chestnuts on all of the branches. <P>SOLUTION: The method for branch-trimming, pruning, fruit-bearing and fruit-thinning chestnut includes: cutting off branches with two or three branches left while growing a seedling 1 to a main trunk 2; growing latent buds 10 at the base ends of all the branches; producing vigorous fruit-bearing branches 5 and developing branches 4 to make floral buds appear so as to produce fruits (chestnuts). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
