<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological authentication device for a vehicle capable of accurately determining an intoxicated state of a user, even when a plurality of users use the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: This biological authentication device for the vehicle acquires first biological information used for discriminating the user and second biological information used for determining the drunk state of the user, measures absorptivity of an absorbing wave length of ethyl alcohol of the user based on the acquired second biological information, discriminates whether or not the user is a registered person by collating the acquired first biological information with first biological information for collation, determines the intoxicated state of the user based on the measured absorptivity and a reference value based on the absorptivity acquired in a non-intoxicated state of the user when the user is discriminated as the registered person, and controls prime mover starting of the vehicle based on a determining result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
