<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an "on-vehicle device" for controlling a user interface for an operation of an audio function of a portable device so as to effectively utilize display resources. <P>SOLUTION: When a navigation mode is set, a navigation screen is displayed (a) in a main window 31. When a player mode is set, if a version of AVRCP of a radio-connected smartphone 2 is not 1.3 or newer, since meta information of audio data under reproduction cannot be acquired from the smartphone 2, a control window 32 where a button for an audio function operation of the smartphone 2 is arranged is displayed (b) while maintaining the display of the main window 31.
