<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner resin capable of manufacturing a toner having a favorable moisture/heat resistance and storage stability and excellent low-temperature fixability. <P>SOLUTION: The toner resin includes a polyhydroxycarboxylic acid skeleton and is soluble in an organic solvent, and the structure thereof is represented by the following formula (I). It is preferable that a glass-transition temperature of the toner resin is 50°C or more and that a softening point by a 1/2 method using a flow tester is 120°C or less.
