<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and efficiently acquire images to be required for generating a wide-angle image without performing lens exchange. <P>SOLUTION: While a user holds a digital camera 1 in a longitudinal direction to allow the long-side direction of a field angle to be the longitudinal direction and moves the digital camera 1 in a horizontal direction, a CPU 11 determines the change of a movement direction whenever a predetermined trigger is detected. When the movement direction is the predetermined movement direction, the CPU continuously shoots a multiple number of images by predetermined period (time interval). Then, the CPU synthesizes a first panoramic image from multiple images captured in the horizontal movement (rightward from a left end), synthesizes a second panoramic image from multiple images captured in the horizontal movement (leftward from a right end), synthesizes the first panoramic image with the second panoramic image, and finally, generates a desired wide-angle image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
