<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core base paper that is excellent in both compression strength and starch absorbability while maintaining high productivity. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a core base paper for corrugated board in which an oxidized starch having a degree of oxidation of 3 to 10 mol% and a mesh-like water soluble polymer are coated on a surface. It is preferable that the water soluble polymer is polyacrylamide so that compression strength can be improved furthermore. Further, it is preferable that amphoteric polyacrylamide is contained as an internal paper strengthening agent and by including such a configuration, an improvement effect of compression strength when using the water soluble polymer and the oxidized starch can be further compensated without generating foreign matters in a system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
