<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a time required for tuning. <P>SOLUTION: A broadband signal in which a plurality of signals are arranged is received. Control information to be used in extracting a predetermined signal from the broadband signal is acquired from the broadband signal. The acquired control information is stored. When the predetermined signal is extracted from the broadband signal after the control information is stored, the stored control information is read, and the predetermined signal is extracted from the broadband signal based on the read control information.
