<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external combustion engine which is light-weighted, compact, highly reliable owing to a simple structure, inexpensive in manufacturing cost and excellent in thermal efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The problem is solved by the external combustion engine including: an air compressor; an air heating unit for heating and expanding the air fed from the air compressor; and a driving unit for converting energy of the air which is fed from the air heating unit, is heated and expanded, and gets higher temperature and lower pressure than when fed from the air compressor, into a mechanical output. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
