<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector for circuit board to which a terminal can be press-fitted in a stable attitude without increasing the vertical dimension of the terminal. <P>SOLUTION: After a metal plate is punched while maintaining the plate face thereof with the metal plate connected to a carrier, a first terminal 20 is separated from the carrier and is in a straight shape extending in a horizontal direction. The terminal has a contact part 22 at the rear end thereof, a connecting part 21 at the front end thereof, a carrier separation part 24 positioned in the upper part of the connecting part 21 and separated form the carrier, and a press-fitting protrusion 23 protruded from the upper end of the first terminal 20 and locked to the inner face of a terminal holding groove 18, which is formed at the intermediate position thereof in the horizontal direction. In a connector 1, the first terminal 20 is press-fitted in the terminal holding groove 18 from the front after separating the carrier separation part 24 from the carrier, and the carrier separation part 24 is positioned in a range in which its cut end face from the carrier includes the upper fringe at the intermediate position in the vertical direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
