<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a static eliminator capable of keeping a uniform ionic balance irrespective of the distance from the static eliminator. <P>SOLUTION: A static eliminator comprises: electrode driving means which repeats alternately applying a positive-polarity drive voltage V<SB POS="POST">1</SB>and a negative-polarity drive voltage V<SB POS="POST">2</SB>to a discharge electrode 2; voltage value adjusting means which adjusts at least one of the voltage values of the drive voltage V<SB POS="POST">1</SB>and the drive voltage V<SB POS="POST">2</SB>; application time adjusting means which adjusts at least one of an application time Tp of the drive voltage V<SB POS="POST">1</SB>and an application time Tn of the drive voltage V<SB POS="POST">2</SB>; and drive controlling means which controls an amount of voltage value adjustment and an amount of application time adjustment. When increasing positive ions, the drive controlling means relatively increases the voltage value of the positive-polarity drive voltage and reduces the ratio of the application time to the positive-polarity drive voltage. When increasing negative ions, the drive controlling means relatively reduces the voltage value of the positive-polarity drive voltage and increases the ratio of the application time to the positive-polarity drive voltage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
