IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, IMAGE FORMING METHOD, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which controls an execution timing for calibration in order not to cause the delay of the execution of print processing as a result of the conflict between the calibration for maintaining the image quality and the print processing.

SOLUTION: In order to solve the above problems, the image forming apparatus of the present invention is characterized in having: print means for printing a patch pattern; correction means for correcting the density of an output image using the patch pattern printed by the print means; reception means for receiving an execution request of the correction means; and delay means for delaying the execution of the correction means not responding to the execution request received by the reception means until the image forming apparatus is shifted to a sleep state to reduce power consumption.
