<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ottoman device that facilitates reducing weight and costs. <P>SOLUTION: The ottoman device 10 includes: a footrest 11; a link mechanism 12 that pulls out and moves the footrest 11 to a usage position from a storage position; and a first lock means 13 for preventing the footrest 11 in the usage position from turning downward. The link mechanism 12 comprises links 12a-12f and joint shafts 12g-12n. The first lock means 13 comprises a first lock shaft 13a, and a first coiled spring 13b that is externally fitted to the first lock shaft 13a. A spring lock mechanism for making the first coiled spring 13b tighten the first lock shaft 13a prevents the downward turning of the footrest 11 against a downward load applied to the footrest 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
