<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an orthogonal frequency division multiplex (OFDM) system which, even when a usable frequency band is limited by a frequency policy in each country, can easily expand the frequency band to be used. <P>SOLUTION: A transmitter used in an orthogonal frequency division multiplex (OFDM) system includes: an orthogonal subcarrier modulation processing unit 12 which allows an information signal to be subjected to subcarrier modulation and then outputs an orthogonal carrier modulated wave; a non-orthogonal subcarrier modulation processing unit 13 which generates a subcarrier spacing signal with no orthogonality narrower than the subcarrier spacing from a subcarrier spacing signal with orthogonality used in the orthogonal sub-carrier modulation, and also eliminates interference components arising from the generation of the subcarrier spacing signal with no orthogonality; and an inverse Fourier transformation unit 14 which allows the subcarrier spacing signal with no orthogonality which has had interference components removed to be subjected to inverse Fourier transformation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
