PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to form a conductive thin film including metal nanoparticles into various base materials by a simple operation for a short time at a room temperature without performing a thermal treatment.
SOLUTION: The conductive emulsion ink comprises a continuous phase, and first and second discontinuous phases dispersed in the continuous phase. In the conductive emulsion ink, the first discontinuous phase includes metal nanoparticles, and the second discontinuous phase includes a reducer for the metal nanoparticles and/or a photocatalyst. In the case of the second discontinuous phase including the reducer, a conductive thin film can be formed by applying the ink to an appropriate base material surface, or patterning the ink on the base material surface. In the case of the second discontinuous phase including the photocatalyst, the conductive thin film can be formed by executing the step of applying the ink to an appropriate base material surface, or patterning the ink on the base material surface, and the step of irradiating the applied or patterned ink with ultraviolet light. The continuous phase may include the metal nanoparticles. It is preferred that the continuous phase is an oil phase, and the first and second discontinuous phases are a water phase.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
