<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a large space for avoiding contact with the body of a rear-seat occupant moving to vehicle body forward side. <P>SOLUTION: This device includes: an annular member 62 that is fixed on a seat back frame 26 and has a ratchet gear 62a formed on the inner-peripheral surface; a pair of ratchets 64 disposed inside the annular member 62 to engage with the ratchet gear 62a; a torsion spring that energizes the ratchets 64; a cam member 68 that interlocks with the operation of a reclining lever and rotates the ratchets 64 against the energization of the torsion spring to release the engagement of the ratchet gear 62a with the ratchets 64; and a release mechanism 70 that releases engagement of the cam member 68 with the ratchets 64 when a vehicle body impact sensor detects an impact. Further, there is also formed an orientation of a tooth form to allow a load relative to a vehicle body forward inclination of a seat back to incline forward against energization of the torsion spring. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
