<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet apparatus capable of minimizing variations in ejection characteristics due to temperature change and to provide a control method of the liquid jet apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A temperature sensor provided in a recording head detects the temperature when the recording head moves relatively to the outside of a region facing a platen heater.
