<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a safety device of a passenger conveyor, which detects absence of steps inexpensively without requiring a high performance detection sensor, so as to enhance the safety. <P>SOLUTION: A sheet-like signal receiving part 6a of a detector 6 is provided on an oil pan 5. Further, a signal sending part 6b which sends a signal so that the sheet-like receiving part 6a can receive the signal is disposed on the upper side of a return-path step 2b. The sheet-like signal receiving part 6a and the signal sending part 6b are installed inside a truss structure 4, and also are attached so as to cross a traveling direction of the return-path step 2b, thereby receiving the signal sent from the signal sending part 6b with the sheet-like signal receiving part 6a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
