<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve design flexibility of a speed converter using a magnetic wave gear. <P>SOLUTION: Each of an input shaft 12 and an output shaft 14 that have a common axis is provided with a cylindrical input-side magnetic gear 28 and an output-side magnetic gear 32. Fixed magnetic pole teeth 36 are disposed radially outside of each of the magnetic gears 12, 14. Permanent magnets 30, 34 are circumferentially disposed with alternate polarities to outer peripheral side faces of the magnetic gears 12, 14 to form magnetic poles. The fixed magnetic pole teeth are circumferentially arranged to surround the first and second magnetic gears. The magnetic gears 12, 14 and the fixed magnetic pole teeth 36 constitute the magnetic wave gear. Since axial lengths of and radii of the two magnetic gears 12, 14 can be set independently, the design flexibility is improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
