<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit the increase of engine resistance after engine start while using an existing engine body equipped with no ring gear, crankshaft side member and one-way clutch as it is. <P>SOLUTION: A ratchet type one-way clutch 30 is provided between a ring gear 16, to which turning force of a start motor 40 is transmitted, and an outer race member 12, which rotates in conjunction with a crankshaft 2, to transmit the turning force in one direction by the start motor 40 from the ring gear 16 to the crankshaft 2 and to intercept transmission of turning force in the opposite direction to the one direction. A spacer 10 having a support part 10d for rotatably supporting the ring gear 16 is provided. The spacer 10 is provided between the engine body (a cylinder block 4, an oil pan 8) and a transmission housing and is formed with bolt holes in which bolts are inserted for tightening together with the transmission housing to the engine body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
