<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide article storing equipment capable of causing an article of an unbalanced load to suitably climb over a regulative protrusion for transfer and enhancing the storage efficiency of an article storing shelf as much as possible. <P>SOLUTION: The regulative protrusion is provided at an end part on the front side of a storage section to regulate an article C from projecting out of the storage section. A movement operating device constituting a transfer means disposes a front locking body FK, which is engageable to/disengageable from a locked part 24 of the front side of an article, so as to be movable in the front/rear direction of the shelf and to be liftable in the vertical direction of the shelf. When an article is to be taken out of the storage section, the article is moved to the front side after putting it in a lifted state where the backside lower end of the article is supported by the storage section and the front side lower end thereof is floated. When the article is to be delivered, the article is moved to the backside after putting it in the lifted state from a state where the backside lower end of the article is supported by the storage section.
