摘要 PURPOSE: A concrete block for the seismic reinforcement of an H-shaped steel column and a seismic reinforcement method using the same are provided to improve the rigidity of an H-shaped steel column by securely coupling a concrete block to the column using a fiber reinforced plastic sheet. CONSTITUTION: A concrete block(10) for the seismic reinforcement of an H-shaped steel column comprises a cross section extension portion(11), a reinforcement insertion portion(12), a reinforcement steel plate(15), and multiple shear connectors. The cross section extension portion has a height(h1) corresponding to the height of an H-shaped steel column and comprises multiple longitudinal reinforcing bars(111). The reinforcement insertion portion is protruded from the cross section extension portion and is inserted into a space surrounded by the upper and lower flanges and web of the H-shaped steel column. The reinforcement steel plate is installed on the end surface of the reinforcement insertion portion. The shear connectors are installed on the contact surface of the reinforcement steel plate and the reinforcement insertion portion.
