PURPOSE: A progressive abnormal state real time diagnosing apparatus and method of a transformer are provided to analyze supersonic wave characteristics generated in the degradation and partial discharge in real time and to systematically manage the corresponding transformer based on the analyzed result. CONSTITUTION: A sensor module(1) is attached to a transformer external box and senses a supersonic wave signal generated in the internal deterioration and partial discharge of the transformer. A device module(2) analyzes the supersonic wave signal which is collected from the sensor module. The device module classifies state change of the transformer according to step and automatically reports abnormal state generation result to an upper layered system.
