<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a distance image camera capable of measuring a distance to an object as accurately as possible even if the object such as a box has a low surface reflectance; and a distance measurement method using the same. <P>SOLUTION: A distance image camera includes: an emission section 11 for irradiating a recognition target object with light; an imaging section 12 for obtaining a distance image Gd having, for each of pixels P arrayed in two-dimension, distance information calculated based on a measurement value of a time from emission of the light to return of the reflected light, and a reception light level image Ga having, for each pixel P, reception light level information representing reception light intensity of the reflected light; and an arithmetic control unit 13 for performing control and arithmetic processing for the sections. Further, the arithmetic control unit 13 has: a binarization processing section for obtaining a binarized reception light level image Gb produced by binarizing the reception light level image Ga; a regionalization section for performing regionalization for recognizing one or more of the same object included in the binarized reception light level image Gb; and a distance averaging section for averaging the distance information of corresponding each pixel P for each of the recognized same object. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
