<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system capable of accurately recognizing a moving direction of a movable body even if the moving direction of the movable body cannot be accurately recognized only by image processing based on optical flow. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing part 6 includes: a movable body extraction part 7 which extracts a vehicle 1 in a predetermined image processing area of an image captured by a camera 2; an optical flow processing part 8 which performs image processing by using optical flow; a frame difference processing part 9 which divides the image processing area into a plurality of areas in a traveling direction of the vehicle 1 and obtains an inter-frame difference of each image in time series in a boundary area of each divided area; and a moving direction detection part 10 which recognizes a moving direction of the vehicle 1 based on a recognition result by the optical flow processing part 8 and a recognition result by the frame difference processing part 9. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
