The device (1) has a primary electric circuit (3) and a secondary electric circuit (4) that are galvanically separated from each other. Clock signals (CLK1, CLK2) and an alternating voltage signal (UAC) run in the electric circuits. The clock signals are synchronous to the alternating voltage signal. A signal transmitter (U1) is attached to an alternating voltage source (2) for transmitting an electric signal to one of the circuits (4), where the electric signal is supplied to the transmitter.
