The method (1) involves receiving, in a signaling band, a request for activation of a radio module of a multi-band communication entity (EC-T) associated with a transmission band (4), and triggering the activation of the radio module by the activation request. A frame including description of the activation request of the radio module is sent (6), where the activation request includes information on the availability of pending data, and the pending data is transmitted (9). The radio module is deactivated after transmission of the data.
