PURPOSE: A rotary spark gap switch with improved lifetime is provided to remove malfunction in an initial starting operation by additionally arranging a position determination means. CONSTITUTION: A chamber(110) is composed of a first board(120), a second board(130) and a cover(140). A motor unit(300) is composed of a motor(310) and a motor driving unit(320). A trigger electrode is installed on an extension part(330) in the chamber. The trigger electrode rotates around a rotary shaft. Fixing electrodes(500a,500b) are conjugately installed on the first board and the second board.
