The installation comprises a unit (10) for conveying food products, a unit (20) for applying the liquid on the products, and a liquid feeding unit. The application unit comprises a unit for supplying the liquid in weirs (22, 23). The weir has: a base member (221) equipped with openings; a treatment position in which the base of the weir extends along a slope and is lined with a rear wall (222) and two side walls; and an overflow end of the liquid located opposite to the rear wall of the weir. The liquid feeding unit comprises a collector for filling with the liquid, where the collector includes an overflow end.
