<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method and a manufacturing apparatus of a membrane electrode assembly capable of coating an electrolyte membrane uniformly with a catalyst ink while preventing damage on the electrolyte membrane. <P>SOLUTION: In a membrane electrode assembly manufacturing apparatus 1 and a manufacturing method of a membrane electrode assembly 30, an electrolyte membrane 10 is coated with catalyst ink B1 and catalyst ink B2 while imparting a tension to the electrolyte membrane 10. Consequently, the electrolyte membrane 10 can be coated with catalyst ink B1 and catalyst ink B2 with a uniform thickness. Furthermore, in the membrane electrode assembly manufacturing apparatus 1 and the manufacturing method of the membrane electrode assembly 30, the tension imparted to the electrolyte membrane 10 is released after the electrolyte membrane 10 is coated with catalyst ink B1 and catalyst ink B2. Since contraction of the electrolyte membrane 10 is not inhibited when the electrolyte membrane 10 is dried in a later step, damage on the electrolyte membrane 10 can be prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
