<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibrating feeder and a trough which surely convey a workpiece conveyed in normal posture to a downstream side in a conveying direction. <P>SOLUTION: The vibrating feeder includes the trough 21 including a conveying surface for conveying the workpieces W each having a recess Wa in a line, and a driving part for vibrating the trough. When conveying the workpiece on the conveying surface 25 by vibrating the trough, the workpiece in the normal posture, which is conveyed in a state where the recess of the workpiece is opposed to the conveying surface, is conveyed to the downstream side, and the workpiece in wrong posture, which is not in a state where the recess is opposed to the conveying surface, is eliminated from the conveying surface. The conveying surface of the trough is set to be an inclined surface inclined downward to be lower toward one side in a width direction, a notched part is formed at a part on the other side in the width direction halfway in a conveying direction of the conveying surface, and then a boundary part 25a between the conveying surface and the notched part is positioned in an area in the width direction of the recess of the workpiece in the normal posture.
