<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor which can determine authenticity of a recording medium which is connected as an external medium. <P>SOLUTION: An information processor 10 confirms that a calculation result obtained by calculating, with a specific function, the recording medium unique information held in a second recording medium 25 connected to a connecting section 18 matches authentication information stored in the recording medium.
