<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, for example, a power-supply device that can achieve most suitable power efficiency and power factor according to a kind of an optional device connected to an image formation apparatus body. <P>SOLUTION: A power-supply device comprises a rectifier circuit 2 for rectifying an alternate current from an AC power supply 1 and booster circuits 103 and 8 which boost and smooth the rectification voltage, and supplies power to an image formation apparatus body 201 and optional devices 202, 203, and 204 connected to the image formation apparatus body. The power-supply device sets a boosted voltage by the booster circuit to be high as compared with the case when the optional device is not connected according to a kind of the optional device, in the case when the optional device is connected to the image formation apparatus body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
