<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive solar cell sealing material that has excellent flexibility (embedding property of level difference), heat resistance, adhesiveness, electric insulation properties, moisture permeability, moldability and process handleability even without a crosslinking treatment in a solar cell sealing material comprising an ethylene-based resin composition. <P>SOLUTION: The resin composition comprises a component (A) being an ethylene-based polymer satisfying specific requirements or its modified substance with an ethylenic unsaturated silane compound (C) and a component (B) being an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer having a vinyl acetate content of 10-47 mass% or its modified substance with the ethylenic unsaturated silane compound (C). Either or both of the component (A) and the component (B) are modified substances with the ethylenic unsaturated silane compound (C).
