<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass fiber showing excellent hot-water resistance when being compounded with a resin, and to provide a glass fiber-reinforced resin material using the glass fiber. <P>SOLUTION: This glass fiber includes a composition, in terms of mass%, of 45-65% SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, 7-18% Al<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>, 3-11% B<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>, 0-0.2% R<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O (R<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O shows the total amount of Li<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O, Na<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O and K<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O), 0-5% MgO, 5-27% CaO, 0-6% SrO and 0-2% BaO, and has mass ratios of ≤0.0050 of R<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O/SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, and 0.055-0.160 of B<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>/SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
