The method involves controlling output current by a current regulator, which defines control values for phases of a direct-current (DC) static converter (22). Total current is sampled as the output current per clock cycle as an over sampling process. A phase current measurement is carried-out by a hardware filter, so that a mean value of phase current is detected with the sample per clock cycle. Set point values of the phase currents are filtered by a software filter with same corner frequency as the hardware filter. An independent claim is also included for a mobile working machine comprising a DC static converter.
