A device (1) and method for automatic swing control are disclosed. The device (1) and method are used for the automatic control of the swing of an overhang means (3). The automatic control device (1) comprises a driving means (11) and a movable block (13) which is located on a side of the driving means (11) and is driven to reciprocate by the rotation or counter rotation of the driving means (11). The movable block (13) comprises a hanger (131) and an angle sensing means (133). The hanger (131) is pivotably mounted in the lower end of the movable block (13) and is used to hang the overhang means (3). The angle sensing means (133) is electrically connected to the driving means (11), senses the swing angle and swing direction of the hanger (131), predicts the highest swing position, and starts the selective rotation or counter rotation of the driving means (11) when the swing angle is lower than a preset valve, so that when the hanger (131) is at its predicted highest swing position, the movable block (13) moves toward the direction in which the hanger (131) is about to move after the hanger (131) passes its actual highest swing position to drag the overhang means (3) to swing. |
